Getting help

Questions, bugs and requests go to the issue tracker. Say what you were doing, what happened, and which device you were on — that is usually enough to find it.

Questions people ask

Why is my export smaller than my photo?

Free exports are limited to 1024 pixels on the long edge. One payment removes the limit for good — there is no subscription. The editing itself is not limited in any way.

I paid, and a new phone does not know it.

Open the ⋯ menu and choose Restore Purchase. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so the same one will get it back.

Does editing change my original photo?

No. The original file is never written to. Edits are kept beside it as a small list of settings, so anything can be undone later, and exporting writes a new file.

Subject selection found nothing, or the wrong thing.

Subject detection runs on the device and needs something that stands out from its background. Where it gets an edge wrong — which happens most where two subjects overlap — use the brush to paint the missing part in, or the eraser to take the extra part out.

What is the red and blue overlay?

Press and hold a slider, then drag. Red marks what is about to blow out to white, blue what is about to block up to black. It updates as you move, so you can stop at the edge rather than find out afterwards.

Privacy

RawStudio collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app does not send your photographs, or anything else, anywhere.

If this ever changes, this page changes with it, before the version that changes it ships.
